4th of July at the Lake

JUNE 28, 2009 - LONG VALLEY - SCHOOLEY'S
MOUNTAIN, NJ

Sunset at Lake Whitney, Texas

The clock is ticking.  I fly out in the wee hours of the
morning on Wednesday, destination Lake Whitney,
Texas.   My first stop after I arrive is lunch with my
high school accounting and business law teacher,
Mrs. Pugh.    I think everyone has a teacher they
look back on as someone who made a huge
difference in their life.  For me there was two:
Susan Pugh, and my freshman English teacher,
Kay Minter.  

Anyone who wants to, stop by Mel's Steakhouse
on Friday evening at 6pm for dinner.   Let me
know.

One of the many peacocks at Arrowhead Resort at
Lake Whitney.   He is just waiting on me to come back
home.

Long Week

JUNE 21, 2009 - LONG VALLEY - SCHOOLEY'S
MOUNTAIN, NJ

It was a long week, and the next week isn't looking
too much better, but the good news is I am less
than two weeks away from a long weekend at
the lakehouse in Texas.

My Refuge Awaits

In celebration of this return trip to the Mother Ship,
I have activated the Dallas skyline banner and
am flying the Lone Star flag on my page.

I, however, still don't claim George Bush.

1st Annual Dairy Queen Run

JUNE 14, 2009 - NEWTON, NJ

About 30 of us loaded up and, by caravan, headed out
to Chris (Freezer) and Debbie (Challenger Chick) 's
Dairy Queen in the small town of Newton in Sussex
County, NJ.    After a summer serving of ice cream,
we headed to Chris and Deb's home for fellowship
and pizza.    Beautiful day in Northern New Jersey.

Madison Car Show - Madison Plaza,
Madison, NJ

JUNE 14, 2009 -  MADISON, NJ

The good folks at Madison Lanes bowling alley in
Madison, NJ asked out group out to a small car show
they had planned in tandem with an old fashioned
street fair.   It was a small, hometown show, and
because it started raining, we had to get resourceful
in the bowling alley.

National Muscle Car Assn (NMCA)
Hemi Shoot-Out in Maple Grove,
PA

JUNE 13, 2009 -  LONG VALLEY - SCHOOLEY'S
MOUNTAIN, NJ

I took off Friday, June 5th and spend the entire
weekend with my car club family at the NMCA
Hemi Shoot-Out at Maple Grove Raceway in
Pennsylvania.   It was a 3 day event and our club
was the host club for the car show portion of the
event, which also included 3 days of drag
racing.

We had a great time, and I came back with one
heck of a sunburn.
